Job Description
The Project Control Lead supports the execution of project activities, including Financial Management, project management, and monthly reporting. As a member of the Transportation group, you will be given opportunities to apply your education and experience on complex projects. You will gain knowledge through mentorship and skills development, and fast-track your professional development to become a strong project control analyst with the potential for a PMP designation. Act as a Team Lead for our Project Controls group in iCRC, providing coaching and training to junior team members ? Act as the primary point of contact for our Canadian Project Controls team, ensuring that requirements and timelines are clearly understood and communicated ? Act as a Subject Matter Expert and provide regular auditing for the system integration between iCRC and Canada for project setup, timesheet coding, billing, etc. ? Support the iPMO team in monitoring and controlling of our portfolio of projects across Canada; ? Create and maintain accurate reporting and tracking on a project to verify planned value, actual cost, earned value and schedule; ? Perform data integrity checks and auditing to ensure accuracy of reporting; ? Report templating, and training of juhior team members to maintain project reporting ? Assess and report on impacts for changes to baseline / estimates and new forecasted dates / performance; ? Timely identification, notification, resolution and recording of deviations from current plan; ? Assist in preparing reporting packages to project and corporate management teams; ? Preparation and coordination of monthly progress reports; ? Creation of new project setups using the Project Opening Notice; ? Maintenance of WBS and budgets in the system, time transfers; ? Attend meetings, as required and prepare and distribute agenda items, take meeting minutes and track minutes for follow up items; ? Coordinate with billing and finance teams to review Accounts Receivable ? Organize billing drafts, compiling monthly invoices and following up for approval and payment; ? Assist in the creation and maintenance of project lessons learned database ? Assist in the creation and maintenance of bid pricing database ? Other duties as assigned. Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications ? Post-secondary diploma or degree (project management, finance or business preferred): ? Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; ? Previous relevant experience in engineering industry is an asset; ? Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change; ? Ability to multi-task, work on several projects or tasks at once, manage time, organize, and set priorities; ? Strong organizational skills; ? Strong interpersonal skills as the role requires continuous interaction with team members; ? Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, including report writing, editing and proofreading abilities; ? Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Outlook. Highly advanced Microsoft Excel skills and/or MS Project skills is an asset; ? Strong analytical and quantitative skills are a must; ?
